Can Men & Women Be Just Friends? Steve Harvey Says No! (Video)
On the road promoting his second relationships book Straight Talk: How to Find, Keep, and Understand a Man, comedian & radio host turned love guru Steve Harvey sat down with Fredricka Whitfield of CNN to explain why men and women can never be just friends:
He is your friend only because you have made it absolutely clear that nothing else is happening except this friendship. We remain your friends in hopes that one day there will be a crack in the door,a chink in the armor and trust and believe that guy you think is just your buddy, he will slide in that crack the moment he gets the opportunity.Although I won't be picking up this book, there is some truth to what he is saying. However can't that work both ways?
What do you think? Comment below!

Michael Vick Speaks on His Redemption (Video)
If you ask anyone who has had the greatest story of redemption for 2010 they would probably utter two words: Michael Vick. Signing with the Philadelphia Eagles three months after his release from prison, Vick has led the team on a whirlwind ride culminating in a huge victory last night over the New York Giants putting them in the #1 spot for the NFC East. Check out a short clip of Vick and Andy Reid speaking with Chris Berman about his life as well as a few highlights from the Eagles vs. Giants game.

World AIDS Day 2010- Get Tested!
In honor of World AIDS Day 2010, the staff at the Terminal encourages you to get tested to prevent contraction of HIV/AIDS. African Americans account for nearly half of all new infections in the country.
Here are a few statistics courtesy of the Center for Disease Control:
- In 2006, black men accounted for two-thirds of new infections (65%) among all blacks. The rate of new HIV infection for black men was 6 times as high as that of white men, nearly 3 times that of Hispanic/Latino men, and twice that of black women.
- In 2006, black men who have sex with men (MSM)2 represented 63% of new infections among all black men, and 35% among all MSM. HIV infection rates are higher among black MSM compared to other MSM. More new HIV infections occurred among young black MSM (aged 13–29) than among any other age and racial group of MSM.
- In 2006, the rate of new HIV infection for black women was nearly 15 times as high as that of white women and nearly 4 times that of Hispanic/Latina women.
- At some point in their lifetimes, 1 in 16 black men will be diagnosed with HIV infection, as will 1 in 30 black women.
- From 2005–2008, the rate of HIV diagnoses among blacks increased from 68/100,000 persons to 74/100,000. This increase reflects the largest increase in rates of HIV diagnoses by race or ethnicity.
Get Tested and remember to WRAP IT UP!

T.I. Professes: "I Am Sick and Tired of Going to Jail"
The reality of his troubles with the law may have finally hit home for Clifford "T.I." Harris. In an new post on his blog, the rapper vents his frustrations at himself for his criminal pasts, how he has to change for himself now, and the role that the absence of his father played in his life. I'm happy that he is finally getting the message. Hopefully, this is his last stint in prison and he can learn from his mistakes.
Check out his message below:
This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that's saying a lot for a nigga who's been down locked up as many times as I have. I see this as a real ass whoopin'. The kind you don't just go back outside to play afterwards. You take ya ass to bed and don't come out of your room until it's time to go to school. I don' t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I'm certainly sick and mother f*cking tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it. I'd have been better off doing a 5-10 year bid one time than going in time and time again for days, weeks and months for the last 15 years of my life. Even though it's been a long road, I'm still standing, barely but nevertheless still standing. At one time I thought my motivation for continuing was for my fans, my partna Philant, my pops, my grandmama, even for the haters or the people I let down. But nah... I got to do this shit for me!!! I'll be God damned if I've come all this way and made it through so much hell to let it go down like this! F*ck that! If an hour in the dark is worth a second in the sun then pass me my mother f*ckin' shades cause I'm ready to cash my darkest hours in...ASAP!!! A lot of folks had fathers or father figures in the house to raise them into manhood. I'm not trying to make any excuses for my situation but my father was a hustler that lived in New York. My uncle was a local big time dope boy turned 10 year federal inmate. My mother and grandparents did the best they could but I found my manhood in the trap and in prison systems. But I found it. And nan one of mine will ever have to feel the cold tight grip of a handcuff or grace the presence of a jail cell if I can help it. Over my dead body! So if you can't respect that you ain't rocking with my movement then Fuck you dog! I know a bunch of mother f*ckers who are.....

Common To Release Memoirs In June 2011
Common is the latest hip hop artist to catch the writing bug. According to allhiphop.com, the Chicago native will release his first memoir entitled One Day It'll Make Sense in June 2011.
According to Atria [Books], the book will detail the 38-year-old emcee's rise to fame from the South Side of Chicago, his exploits in the Hip-Hop industry with rappers like Kanye West, and his crossover into the world of acting in movies like Terminator: Salvation, American Gangster and Just Wright with Queen Latifah.Source
"One Day It'll Make Sense," which was also the title of Common's debut album, is being co-authored with Adam Bradley, who has written books like Book of Rhymes: The Poetics of Hip Hop, The Anthology of Rap and a book on Ralph Ellison titled In Progress.

'Winnie'-Starring Jennifer Hudson & Terrance Howard (Trailer)
Check out the movie trailer of the biopic of Winnie the story on the life of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela starring Jennifer Hudson as Winnie and Terrance Howard as Nelson Mandela.
According to The Times Live:
According to The Times Live:
The film that began shooting on May 31 in South Africa, follows the life of Winnie Mandela as played by Jennifer, after her husband South African Leader Nelson Mandela played by Terrance, was imprisoned during the Apartheid.
The film also tells of how Madikizela-Mandela has been depicted as the mother and wife who was a steadfast supporter of her activist husband and who was jailed for campaigning for his release and fighting against apartheid.
Her image was subsequently tarnished by association with a bodyguard who murdered a 14-year old alleged informer, and she was later convicted of fraud.
Based on Anna Marie du Preez Bezdrob’s biography Winnie Mandela:A Life, Andre Pieterse, Roodt, and Paul L. Johnson collaborated on the script. Roodt previously worked on 2006’s Yesterday, and also worked on Cry, the Beloved Country and Sarafina!

So You Really Think You Can Be A World Class Star?
Do you have the dedication and commitment that it takes to be a world class star? Check out this footage of Beyonce rehearsing for her performance of "Ring the Alarm" at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. The cameras followed the star as she reviewed footage of the dress rehearsal, changed some of the choreography at the last minute, and conducted press interviews in a span of 48 hours. This is the life of a star. Beyonce shows the world a glimpse of her life, how you have to be in control of your image, what kind of show that you give to your fans and how you hardly sleep in search of perfection. Are you up to that kind of challenge?

R&B Songstress Chrisette Michele recently took to her blog to voice her displeasure at Rick Ross and his antics at the 2010 Soul Train Awards last night. Rolling Stone Gives "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" Five Stars
The anticipation surrounding the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, the fifth studio album from Kanye West keeps rising as the release date nears. Rolling Stone recently reviewed the album giving it five stars and calling the album "his most maniacally inspired music yet, coasting on heroic levels of dementia, pimping on top of Mount Olympus. Yeezy goes for the grandeur of stadium rock, the all-devouring sonics of hip-hop, the erotic gloss of disco, and he goes for all of it, all the time. Nobody halfway sane could have made this album."
Rolling Stone contributor Sheffield also writes:
Last time, Kanye went minimal for the electro melancholia of 808s & Heartbreak. But onFantasy, he gets ridiculously maximal, blowing past all the rules of hip-hop and pop, even though, for the past half-decade, he’s been the one inventing the rules. There are hip-hop epics, R&B ballads, alien electronics, prog-rock samples, surprise guests from Bon Iver to Fergie to Chris Rock, even a freaking Elton John piano solo. It’s his best album, but it’s more than that — it’s also a rock-star manifesto for a downsizing world. At a time when we all get hectored about lowering our expectations, surrendering our attention spans, settling for less, West wants us to demand more.
MC Hammer Declares Beef with Jay-Z Over
It seems as if MC Hammer has finally come to his senses and "ended" his beef with Jay-Z (which in my opinion really wasn't there in the first place). In an exclusive interview with allhiphop.com, he talks about the "beef" and his most recent work concerning the case of Oscar Grant, an unarmed black man who was fatally shot in Oakland, California in the early morning hours of New Year's 2009. He recently spoke with the Grant Family at a community event about injustice and what is being done to stop it.Check out a few excerpts below:
On why he is finally ending his feude with Jay-Z:
As a responsible veteran of twenty something years of this [Hip-Hop}. I can't leave it out there with tensions. I am reading comments on both sides, it's not about that, I have seen all of that before. There is an opportunity to say at some point. We onto the next thing. You know, Jay took his shot and I answered. Now let's move on.
What he feels his legacy in the Hip-Hop industry means to him:
Of the Jay-Z beef, while it is over, Hammer said that he simply wanted to make sure Hip-Hop was educated on who he is now, not only from the late 80s and 90s.
I already know that this beef was going to go down like this. I know the Hip-Hop audience. Ain't nobody more aware than me. To read the full interview, click here.
A Salute to Our Veterans!
The Terminal Team would like to send a salute to the men and women who bravely put their lives on the line each day to protect our country. Your commitment and dedication to the people of the United States is greatly appreciated and we stand behind you! You all are truly stars.

George Bush Still Has Ill Feelings Toward Kanye West
Former President George W. Bush has revealed in his new book, Decision Points, that Kanye West's proclamation that "he doesn't care about black people" was the WORST moment in his presidency. Not September 11, 2001. Not Hurricane Katrina. Not even the war in Iraq. But a Kanye West diss?

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE PROGRESS!!!!
Last night was CRAZY!!! I was invited to a spot in Latonia, KY (hey don't judge me lol) to talk some business with one of the best Dj's in Cincinnati who goes by the name of Dj Prolifik. He warned me that the spot was hood, but I was like HOOD in a unheard of spot in KY....OK! But when I got there and the people flowed in, he was right. I mean the best way to describe the place is this: Imagine a small hood spot in your city five years ago and that was this place lmao! But as planned, I spoke about some great business moves with Dj Prolifik and I promise you that you will be hearing our names everywhere by January...PROMISE!!! Also later that night I decided to rock the mic and perform my song "On and Poppin." Needless to say the crowd LOVED the song. As I performed, the vibe went from people in the back and quickly moved to the front with everyone tuned to every word. Even got a little crowd perticaption at the end. So last night was a great move. Made some new fans, expanded my network, and had a great time. NOW THATS PROGRESS!!! And please make sure that if your in Cincinnati to checkout Dj Prolifik at The Velvet Room every Saturday night. Til next time...
